The Georgia Museum of Art invites you into the galleries to participate in free guided mindfulness meditation sessions, held every other Friday during the school year. Sessions include a variety of instructor-led meditation, movement and mindfulness techniques. No experience or special clothing is necessary. Meditation pillows or yoga mats are provided.

What is it to witness, to experience, or participate in art? What does it mean to do so in a period defined by its saturation with information, documentation, and image? Documentation becomes distortion, and as the objectivity of language is replaced by the sensation of aesthetics in our methods of experiencing truth, entrances open to new forms of myth-making.

Dodd Assistant Professor of Media Studies and Women's Studies will be presenting a lecture on her work and research entitled "What is Southern Futurism: Reimagine Automation through DIY Hacktivism and Open-sourced Distribution Methods" at the Miller Learning Center on Friday, October 19th at 12:20pm.
