“Between the Lines” is a group exhibition by thirty-one students in Color and Composition classes taught by Professor Imi Hwangbo. Students create large scale drawings in black masking tape on the walls and floor of the Project Space of the Dodd.

Networking Event: Tour Stop

Tour Stop is a student networking event at UGA put on by UGAPRSSA from Grady College and the Music Business Program in Terry College.

The event provides students the opportunity to learn, network, and engage with individuals in the music industry. Student will hear from 4 different panels comprised of professionals in that specification: Entertainment Law, Streaming Promotions, Festival organization and logistics, and artist branding. Tour Stop is open to all UGA that are interested in the music industry from all aspects. The event will last from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Aralee Strange Lecture: Maisha Winn

Dr. Maisha Winn is the Chancellor’s Leadership Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Davis, and the Cofounder and Co-Director of the Transformative Justice in Education Center. In her talk, “‘I don't want us to forget the fire’: Literacy, Activism and Black Literate Lives Overview,” Winn examines the role of the Black Arts Movement in building a literacy continuum for readers, writers, speakers and activists. This program is made possible by the Aralee Strange Fund for Art and Poetry.

Georgia Museum of Art Morning Mindfulness

The Georgia Museum of Art invites you into the galleries to participate in free guided mindfulness meditation sessions, held every other Friday during the school year. Sessions include a variety of instructor-led meditation, movement and mindfulness techniques. No experience or special clothing is necessary. Meditation pillows or stools are provided.
