Jewelry & Metals students will be holding a student-made jewelry sale February 11-13, 2014.

On February 24 & 25, Dr. Juan Carlos Castro (Assistant Professor of Art Education, Concordia University in Montreal) will be visiting UGA as a Franklin Visiting Scholar.

Dr. Castro is giving a series of presentations that explore the intra-actions between art pedagogy, social media and civic engagement.

LATTICEWORKS, an independent collective of graduate students at UGA is holding its first community art event and exhibition called "Crossfire" on Thursday, February 20th

The event will be held at 2085 South Milledge Ave., Athens, Ga 30602 from 7:30-11 pm. There will be live music, food, refreshments, art and other creative activities. The exhibition features over 30 artists in and around the Athens community. They'll be exhibiting their collaboratively-made artworks in a one-night only pop-up show. The public is welcome to attend!

Congratulations go to Lamar Dodd School of Art, Art History Professor Janice Simon as she has been recognized as one of ten University of Georgia Professors as 'Outstanding Professor' at UGA.

Imi Hwangbo, a professor at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, is featured in an article on the Arts Page of the Huffington Post. 

"Portals:  Interview with Imi Hwangbo" by Ridley Howard is a discussion of her three-dimensional drawings in cut paper.  Her work is currently on view at the Pavel Zoubok Gallery on West 26th Street in New York City through March 15.  Ridley Howard, a painter in New York, is an alumnus of the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

March 19-22, Athens, GA - SLINGSHOT is a new international nexus for music art and technology in Athens, GA.

March 20 / 7PM. Help us inaugurate the Slingshot 2014 Festival with food, drink, and of course art! 

Printmaking graduate students Michael Levine and Jess Machacek are featured in the March 2014 edition of the University of Georgia Magazine.

SCHMUCK is special exhibition and the oldest exhibition of contemporary jewellery work in the world.

It takes place since 1959 every year during the International Trade Fair in March.

In additional to Schmuck show there was SCHMUCK-Days, over 40 pop-up satellite exhibitions scattered around Munich.
