The Society for Photographic Education recognizes UGA photography professor Mary Ruth Moore with the Southeast Regional SPE Honored Educator award, presented at the 2014 regional conference in Greenville, North Carolina, October 11, 2014.

It is for much more than teaching photography. She has shown us how to move through the world, how to see, open to awe and wonder and light, and a special appreciation for telling stories (especially those involving family, the civil war, or UGA football - GO DAWGS!).
