The new Checkout for Audio and Visual Equipment at the Main Art Building is officially open for use as of Monday, August 15, 2016. Please come in person to complete your first reservation or checkout. Comfort Tub is a collaborative show featuring the work of Printmaking and Book Arts MFA candidate Megan Burchett and textile artist Maddie Zerkel. For several years, both artists have been exploring the potential that exists at the intersection of paper and fiber arts. With Comfort Tub, they focus on the domestic applications of paper and cloth to examine intimacy, familiarity, and the interior. Curated by Megan Burchett.

This small group exhibition featuring artists affiliated with the Atlanta Photography Group, investigates the relationship of photography, its processes, and the ways in which it expands on, transforms, and transcends our fundamental notions of time and space. Artists exhibited include Kelli Couch, Nancy Floyd, Kristina Ford, Christina Price Washington, and Janelle Young. Curated by Beth Lilly, Executive Director of the Atlanta Photography Group, and Marni Shindelman, Assistant Professor in Photography at the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

The Wild Treasury of Nature: A Portrait of Little St. Simons Island: Philip Juras will explore the rich history and nature that have compelled him to paint the wilds of Little St. Simons Island, share some of the experiences he had in creating the work over the last five years, and show how he painted one of the key works presented in the exhibition.

Richard T. Scott '05 graduated with his BFA in Painting from Lamar Dodd School of Art. Working as a figurative painter and writer in New York and Paris, Richard's "When the Man Comes Around" was acquired by the Georgia Museum of Art for their permanent collection.
