The 2019 Science and Medical Illustration Exhibition will be on display from March 6 through March 29 in Margie E. West Gallery in The Lamar Dodd School of Art. The exhibition includes work from the undergraduate students in Science Illustration at the University of Georgia along with work from the graduate students in Medical Illustration at Augusta University.

Join the Lamar Dodd School of Art on February 26, 2019, at 5:30 PM in S150 for a lecture with Aaron T Stephan, "Making Nonsense".

Aaron T Stephan is an artist living and working in Portland, Maine. His work presents a wry look at the world around him – focusing on a complex web of information carried by everyday materials and objects. His work has taken form as a twenty-foot high table and chairs, a shelter made entirely of books, and a series of drawings reproducing iconic artworks ad infinitum

In the summer of 2018, the artist began Part One of a ten-day self-appointed artist residency on the streets of Times Square. Playing spy and citizen journalist, she wandered into unlocked buildings, eavesdropped on tourists, opened the stage door to Waitress The Musical, sang with a street entertainer, drank at the last remaining neighborhood dive bar, received reiki on a public bench, performed a daily greeting ritual with a network of public surveillance cameras, and followed an investigative rabbit hole that led to seeing to the worst and longest running Off-Broadway play of all time.

BFA Alumna in Painting & Drawing and Art Education Maria Nissan (2015) is hosting a screening of the film Faraway Land at Cine January 23, 2019 at 7:30 PM. Proceeds from this special presentation will benefit an art therapy program for refugees organized by Nissan, who will lead a brief discussion and question and answer session following the screening.

Associate Professor Benjamin Britton has a solo exhibition opening at Marcia Wood Gallery. Desire, broadly opens on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in Atlanta. The exhibition is on view until March 2. For those in the area, the opening reception is from 7 PM – 9 PM.
