The Lyndon House Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of Boundless, an exhibition featuring installation based works by five Athens-based artists who explore common materials in unusual ways. 

In an announcement posted on social media in June, acting director of the University of Georgia Redcoat Band, Brett Bawcum, revealed the band’s decision to replace their football post game concert opener “Tara’s Theme,” which comes from the 1939 film “Gone with the Wind,” with “Georgia on My Mind,” popularized by Ray Charles in 1960. The Lyndon House Arts Center will soon unveil the exhibition Imagination Squared: Pathways to Resilience, a social experiment which collected symbols, stories, and sounds on resilience in Athens between 2018-2020. The exhibition is set to open September 8, 2020 and will be on view until January of 2021. 

The School of Art is pleased to announce that the work of MFA candidate Rosie Brock was recently featured in the New Yorker. Brock’s photographs accompanied an article written by Peter Slevin. 

Two large paintings by Lamar Dodd School of Art Professor Margaret Morrison will be on view in the Georgia Museum of Art's M. Smith Griffith Grand Hall and Patsy Dudley Pate Balcony this semester.
