EdS in Education (Art Education Emphasis)

Overview

The Educational Specialist (EdS) in Education (Art Education Emphasis) program is offered jointly by the Mary Frances Early College of Education and the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

Dodd Rules: COVID-19 Video

Faculty and students at the School of Art recently came together to create an informational video outlining the School's new rules during COVID-19!

This video, along with other helpful resources, will be sent to students via email in the days before class begins.

School of Art Announces New Co-Directorship

The Lamar Dodd School of Art is pleased to officially announce that Dr. Isabelle Wallace and Professor Michael Marshall have been named interim co-directors of the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce announces Mask On, Athens!, an art competition benefitting the new Athens Creatives Directory. Voted on by the community, the winner will get his or her artwork printed on fabric which will then be sewn into face masks. A cash prize of $1,000 will also be awarded to the winning artist.

Staff will be on a rotating schedule, so please mindful of their times, noted below.

Administrative Staff Open Office Hours:

There will be at least one administrative staff member in the office each day of the week. Please see the chart below for office locations and contact information.

If you need help outside of these hours please email or call and leave a message. This will not only increase efficiency but will leave a documented trail of requests that need to be handled.

The Athens-Clarke County Economic Development Department has teamed up with CREATE Athens (a division of Envision Athens) and so many other local organizations to bring you the “Athens Creatives Directory.” The Athens Creatives Directory is a community effort to improve Athens' creative economy.
