The Georgia Museum of Art is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of assistant curator of education. The assistant curator of education is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating PK-12 school and teacher programs for general and special needs audiences in Athens and statewide. This position manages all aspects of school tours and logistics for onsite, virtual and hybrid PK-12 programs, and manages the museum's docent program. A background in art, education and/or museums is preferred.  

This is a full-time, paid 12 month internship opportunity for someone who has recently completed their master's degree in art history, art criticism, museum studies, curatorial practice, or related field. The goal of the internship is to prepare individuals interested in embarking on a curatorial career by providing significant experience in several areas of specialization, including work with the collection, exhibitions, publications, and programs.
