Moves Social Media LLC are looking to hire a freelance, part-time individual with experience in online graphic design to collaborate with on and help develop the design for a mobile phone prototype using the program InVision studio (or similar program). The program does not involve coding but just mimics how the app will look and function. Position will be located in Athens. 

Compensation

$15/ per hour with the opportunity for equity in the project.

The AXA Art Prize is one of the leading student art competitions in the United States. The competition is open to any style of figurative paintings, drawings, and original printmaking created by undergraduate and graduate art students.

Over two weekends in April, encompassing both Earth Day and Arbor Day, Illumine 2023 will use innovative lighting, art installations, and music to shine a light on Oakland’s unique trees and their environmental, historical, social, and cultural meaning. Historic Oakland Foundation (HOF) in Atlanta is pleased to call for proposals for artistic installations for Illumine 2023. 

The Office of Sustainability Artist in Residence (AiR) is a non-traditional position designed to infuse creativity into on-going OoS programs and activities, promote collaboration between artists and other disciplines, engage the campus community in new ways, and give artists an opportunity to explore ideas and develop work related to sustainability.

Period Project Art Night is an exhibition of local artwork. Our second annual Period Project Art Night will be on Friday, December 2nd at 6:30 to 8:00 PM. It will be held at the same location as last year: Rabbit Hole Studios (1001 Winterville Rd.)

Instead of charging an entrance fee, we ask that attendees donate period products. These will be delivered to our community partners (local mutual aid groups, nonprofits, high schools, etc.) A $3 optional ticket fee will also be requested at the door and all proceeds will go directly to our organization.

This competition highlights UGA student research in the arts and provides an opportunity to win prizes and to share creative inquiry with peers, faculty, administrators, and alumni throughout the university community. The competition is open to any graduate student, or undergraduate student working on an advanced project, who is conducting research related to the literary, visual, or performing arts or artists.

Fall 2022

Idea Lab Mini Grants support new creative interdisciplinary projects. Grant recipients are provided with a mentor and are eligible for up to $1000 in support for project expenses. Collaborative teams must include participants from multiple disciplines and include at least one student, faculty, or staff member from UGA. Proposals will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary selection committee in order of receipt, pending the availability of funds.

We are looking for a designer to help us create a club logo that can also be used on a shirt. We have a couple ideas in mind but are open to whatever you think would look best!

Ivy Johnson (2015 BFA, Interior Design) is seeking a live painter for her wedding on January 14th, 2023 at the Classic Center in Athens. She would like for her first dance to be painted on canvas. The couple will pay the artist $500. Canvas will be provided.
