October Art Competitions: Abstract & Pop Surrealism

The Blue Koi Online Art Exhibitions continue to showcase diversity and artistic excellence on a global scale. This October, we are excited to announce two dynamic competitions: Abstract and Pop Surrealism. Both competitions are open to all mediums and styles, including Traditional Art, Mixed Media, Digital Art, Sculpture, and Photography.

We are looking for an artist to create a mural inside our newly renovated veterinary hospital. Our vision for this work includes something fitting for an urban/industrial designed interior, possibly graffiti style, with themes centered around subjects such as firestations, firetrucks, Dalmatians, pets, UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, and the friendly local feel of downtown Athens. The size of the area for the mural is ~100sqft and is located on a wall currently white painting sheetrock.
 

Compensation

$3000 (two walls, 1500 each)

We are looking for an artist to paint on a credenza in Hoschton, GA. Picture is enclosed. Flowers are a relief on cabinet. We have pictures with colors we would like to use. Thank you for your interest.

Seeking an outgoing painter* willing to guide a group art session! Two of us veterinary students want to pull together a painting night for our fellow classmates to hang out, destress, and create some facilitated art. We have a small budget through sponsorship from a veterinary medical company called Dechra, but it's not enough to cover more than a handful of students if we were to do a (for example) paint-and-sip in town.

The Blue Koi Art Awards continue to celebrate diversity and excellence in the visual arts on a global scale. The Abstract theme accepts all mediums and styles, e.g., Traditional Art, Mixed Media, Digital Art, Sculpture and Photography.

We are launching a boutique style, Invisalign-only Orthodontic studio in Watkinsville, which will be the first of its kind in Georgia and will likely gain plenty of press and recognition. We have ambitions to incorporate large wall mural(s) featuring our custom Invisalign GOAT logo, the official Invisalign logo and likely a large script style quote incorporated between two separate wall sections. These designs will likely span approximately 8‘ x 10’ or 15 feet each at a rough approximation.

The Globe is hosting a Market and Mingle event on August 11th from 1:00-6:00pm. We encourage new and returning students and faculty to stop by! We would love to share our space and give artists who are interested a tour of the upstairs, and allow them the opportunity to talk to someone about hanging their artwork up for a month or joining a future market (both free to do!). Vendors keep 100% of their profits.

The Mystical Wonders online art contest invites artists to explore the magical realms of your imagination. Submit artworks that depict mystical landscapes, mythical creatures, and otherworldly phenomena. Whether it’s through photography, mixed media, or traditional mediums, this theme allows artists to explore realms beyond the ordinary. Standard: $20 for 4 images.

The Georgia Conflict Center is offering a freelance/contract position to design a new organization logo. The tasks of this job would include the design of the logo, as well as working on the development of a brand identity that reflects their mission.

The Mary Frances Early College of Education is looking for a graphic design student worker. This position works under the supervision of the creative design specialist and in collaboration with the marketing and communications team. This is an opportunity for students interested in graphic design to add to their portfolio and gain real work experience. This is a flexible position that works around class schedules and other commitments. This position is set to begin in the fall of 2024, and training could start during the summer if the applicant is available. 

Blue Koi Gallery proudly presents the Women's Only Online Fine Art Competition. This is an exclusive opportunity for women artists to globally show their collective talents. This competition requires no specified theme, giving artists the freedom to express creativity through various media and subject matter. Must be 18 years or above to enter. New Life House is looking to hire someone interested in assisting with the revisions of a new organization logo. The individual hired would work to create a PDF form logo, alter the name of the organization, as well as change the color.
