Our first round of BFA Exhibitions features artists working in painting and drawing, sculpture, textile design, graphic design, ceramics, photography, and video. Artists featured in the exhibition include: Daniel Bailey, Eugenia Bouchelion, Jessica Butler, Grace Eberhard, Phoebe Graham, Ashlyn Grantham, Keeley Householder, Arther Alexander Langley, Rachael Lupton, Eric W. Martin, Sarah Moon, Maeve Munson, Caitlin New, Alivia Patton, Hunter Peatman, Gabrielle J. Poteet, Jack Rose, Frances Shomake, Amy Strand, Sydney Weigand, Harper Barrow, and Shea Gillespie.

The School of Art, in conjunction with The Georgia Review, is hosting a two-day interdisciplinary conference organized around the theme of misplacement. Visual artists, writers, and leading scholars in the fields of art history, literature, media studies, race, and queer theory will present recent work at the newly opened Athenaeum. Events will include an exhibition, keynote address, lectures, and readings.

"Making the Invisible, Visible: The Art of Reimagining Scientific Discovery"

Rebecca Kamen is a painter, sculptor, and lecturer who explores the intersections of art and science. Her practice is informed by observation and wide-ranging research into cosmology, history, philosophy, and the search for common threads that flow across various scientific fields to capture and reimagine what scientists see.

Interdisciplinary Sustainability Certificate Information Session

The UGA Sustainability Certificate introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to address complex sustainability problems and innovate collaborative solutions. The program is centered around the UN Sustainable Global Goals reinforced through a broad sustainability framework with courses focusing on ecological, economic, and social spheres of sustainability, and culminating in a final capstone project. Hands on work, real challenges, and the chance to create a lasting, sustainable impact on the UGA-Athens community.
