As the first portion of her Master's Thesis Defense in Art History, Lacy Hamilton will present a 15-minute talk, "A 'Symphony of Lines': Movement and Music in Abraham Walkowitz's Abstractions of New York City." This portion of the defense is open to the public.

Wall Works: Madora Frey

Wall Works is a program at the galleries where we invite an artist to create a semester long,  site-specific work in the Plaza Gallery. Atlanta-based artist, Madora Frey’s Available Light explores the artist’s romantic regard for both the natural and built environment in her search for the sublime. She employs colored gels and various reflecting materials to create an environment that destabilizes the corporeal world into gradations of light and shadow.
