Please join the Lamar Dodd School of Art for a UGA Cortona Studies Abroad Program reunion and reception at 3 PM on January 21st, 2023 in auditorium S151 (on the first floor of the Lamar Dodd School of Art). 

From January 9th through January 21, 2023, artworks produced by participants in UGA Cortona's 2022 study abroad programs will be on display in the Lupin Foundation Gallery and the Suite Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Lamar Dodd School of Art. The reception on January 21st will serve as a commemoration to close the temporary exhibition.

Join us at the Athenaeum for a reading and book signing of Kitchen Arabic with University of Georgia Press author, Joseph Geha. Immigrant children first speak the language of their mothers, and in Toledo, Ohio’s Little Syria neighborhood where Joseph Geha grew up, the first place he would go to find his mother would be the kitchen.

To kick off our Troubling Performance symposium, join us at the Athenaeum for a poetry reading by Dawn Lundy Martin, the Toi Derricotte Endowed Chair in English at the University of Pittsburgh as well as the director of the Center for African American Poetry and Poetics, which she co-founded with Terrance Hayes.

The Dodd Galleries at the Lamar Dodd School of Art is thrilled to announce the winner of the 2023 Margie E. West Prize, an annual award given to an esteemed alum of the Lamar Dodd School of Art who is invited to showcase their latest work in the Marjorie Eichenlaub West Gallery.

Join us in celebrating four new exhibitions at the Dodd Galleries. Dodd MFA candidate, Jason Rafferty, curates "Insatiable Fires" in the Suite Gallery, students in our first year MFA cohort organize an exhibition of their work in the Bridge Gallery, MFA candidate Ethan Snow unveils his Wall Works in the Plaza Gallery, and Kara Walker's recent animation "Prince McVeigh and the Turner Blasphemies" will be on display in the Lupin Foundation Gallery. Refreshments and light snacks while they last. Free and open to the public.
