The Lamar Dodd School of Art celebrates a significant gift to our graphic design area by 1990 BFA alumna Kelly Layton through the Layton Graphic Design Endowment. The $500,000 contribution is the largest single commitment in the graphic design area’s history.

2022 MFA graduate of the Lamar Dodd School of Art Victoria Dugger has been selected as an exhibiting artist for New Worlds: Georgia Women to Watch, a highly-competitive exhibition that will be presented by the National Museum of Women in the Arts and the Georgia Committee at the Atlanta Contemporary in 2023.

The Dodd Galleries at the Lamar Dodd School of Art and the Liu Shiming Art Foundation from New York City invite you to celebrate the current exhibition Liu Shiming: Descending the Mountain Together in our Margie E. West Gallery this Thursday January 26 from 4 to 6 pm. The exhibition will remain on view until February 3, 2023.

A new exhibition at the Athenaeum of recent works on paper by internationally acclaimed American artist Kara Walker, examining themes such as complicity, racism, misremembered histories, and the violence that undergirds the legacy of the South, is on display through March 25, 2023.

Call for Papers | 2023 SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium

Undergraduate students are invited to submit abstracts for a 10-minute talk on any art historical topic of their choosing.
