Leah Nieboer Book Launch and Poetry Reading- SOFT APOCALYPSE

The Creative Writing Program at the University of Georgia and the UGA Press are proud to host Leah Nieboer to launch her new book Soft Apocalypse. Along with the Creative Writing Program and the UGA Press, Avid Bookshop will also be on site to sell copies of Soft Apocalypse. The author will read from her book at the event, hosted at Ciné on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Where the Sidewalk Ends, BFA Exit Shows 1 & 2

The University of Georgia, Lamar Dodd School of Art proudly presents  two exhibitions featuring artworks from the graduating class. The first opening reception will be held on Friday, April 7th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Lamar Dodd Main Art Building. The show will be on view through April 14th. The second groups’ opening will be held on Friday, April 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Lamar Dodd Main Art Building. This show will be on view through April 28th.

2023 UGA Humanities Festival

The University of Georgia presents its first Humanities Festival, a series of public events showcasing the richness and diversity of research and practice in the humanities at UGA and throughout our extended community! Enjoy over twenty events over the course of thirteen days spanning literature, history, theater, religion, environment, culture, film, etc.

 

Enjoy refreshments at the kick-off reception on March 15th at the Founders Memorial Garden on North Campus. All are welcome.
