Music in the Galleries: Historic Sunsets

Join us in the Galleries for a set by Historic Sunsets, an Athens-based experimental pop quartet that draws influence from freakfolk and French dreampop. Fronted by poet/multi-instrumentalist Thibault Raoult, the Sunsets feature Maria Kindt on electric viola, Jacob Sunderlin on bass, and Neil Haydon on percussion. Their debut album, Girl with Lute, 1927, was self-released in 2015. Listen here: historicsunsets.bandcamp.com/

Performance in the Galleries: The Innocents

The Dodd Galleries presents Atlanta-based contemporary music ensemble, Bent Frequency (Atlanta-based contemporary music ensemble) performing a concert  inspired by Taryn Simon's photo essay "The Innocence Project",  which examines the issue of wrongful conviction in the American penal system. Simon traveled across the US photographing and interviewing individuals who had been wrongly convicted and served time for crimes they did not commit. The individuals photographed were exonerated through DNA evidence.
