On February 1, the performance For You will bring together music, sound, video, and installation art in an original composition in the atrium of the Lamar Dodd School of Art. Starting from 6 pm, groups of visitors will be hosted in 20-minute sequences during the 2-hour cyclical performance. For You takes participants on a symbolic journey involving a 16-foot boat, a wooden pavilion, and a room of dancing shadows and projections that deals thematically with the idea of offering and receiving.

South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina recently opened a solo exhibition of work by Deepanjan Mukhopadhyay in the art school’s FAB gallery. Mukhopadhyay is a second-year graduate student in the Photography department at the Lamar Dodd School of Art. For the exhibition Pre/Post/Eros, Mukhopadhyay brought together a series of photographs, including several large-format prints, with video and sculptural installations. 

Madrigal, a solo exhibition of constructed drawings by Dodd faculty member Imi Hwangbo, will be on view at the Michele Mercaldo Studio in Boston, MA from January to February 2017. 

"From the Ground Up" is a small group exhibition at the Greenville Museum of Art in Greenville, North Carolina that highlights the work of the graduate students in the Jewelry & Metalwork program at The University of Georgia. By displaying research in conjunction with the work, the artists allow for an intimate look into what fuels each of their processes.
