Paul Pfeiffer, Dodd Chair 2016-2018, presented his first live performance in collaboration with the Performa 2019 Biennial and The Georgia Redcoat Marching Band from the University of Georgia, at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem.

 GRADUATE PHOTOGRAPHY STUDENT PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES, TUES. DEC. 3, 5:00PM, RM S150
The Photography Area presents its annual public lecture series by third year MFA candidates on Tuesday December 3rd, at 5:00pm in lecture hall S150 at the Lamar Dodd School of Art. This year’s event will feature artists Alec Kaus and Robby Toles. Each artist will give a talk on their research and work followed by an opportunity for questions and answers. The event is expected to run about ninety minutes. Please announce to all faculty, students and staff. All are welcome!

Before his tenure at Lamar Dodd School of Art, Dr. Nix taught and supervised art at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Georgia’s public schools from 1955 to 1968, where he later joined the faculty at Dodd.

In order to support its faculty and students pursuing innovative, interdisciplinary research, the Lamar Dodd School of Art offers funding for travel research. Twice yearly, the Dodd solicits and reviews applications for travel support to conferences, exhibitions, and symposia, both domestic and international. Recently, two faculty members, John Swindler and James Enos, along with two Art Education graduate students, Diane Lee and Kihyun Nam, were awarded travel funding.

The Lamar Dodd School of Art is pleased to announce the recent accomplishments of Painting alumni Jenna Gribbon. This fall, Gribbon exhibited her work in a solo exhibition at Fredericks and Freiser in New York City.
