Position Location: HQ-IT Division-Conyers, GA 

Entry Salary: $45,982.94

Maximum Salary: $51,310.72



Job Responsibilities:

Webmaster 1 or 2 is responsible for implementing and maintaining the website with the goals and business objectives of the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). The position manages the content and structure of the GTA-hosted DDS website. Learns to implement web technology to create and maintain websites. Develops and manages the digital presence, content, design, layout and scheme for agency and/or division sites. The position is responsible for client support, new technologies, development/implementation needs, project management and strategic analytics and reporting for their area of responsibility. Works with senior leadership to set the strategic direction for initiating and implementing the use of information technology to fulfill the agency’s mission. The incumbent advises and makes recommendations on the latest content, IT technologies, research, and data analysis trends.



Specific Duties Include:

Build, maintain & optimize all websites

Specializes in Drupal platform – Ensuring that all aspects of the end-user's interaction with the agency, its services, and its experience is successful and creates a returning customer

Work with the Content team to help update content, design and create logos, signage, digital advertising and other digital or printed marketing materials

Research new trends and optimization tactics across all our websites

Collect and analyze all digital analytics, then put into place various digital marketing campaigns based on the data collected to improve optimization

Utilize Site Improve to measure the website’s compatibility and compliant

Work collaboratively with the Governmental Affairs and Communications team, other divisions within DDS, as well as key external partners to design, update, and enhance the agency’s website

Develop innovative digital communication strategies for DDS website focused on increasing customer engagement while ensuring branding continuity.

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

Demonstrate leadership, management, and strategic planning skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be a result and goal-oriented individual with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituencies.

Must have the ability to gain credibility with diverse constituencies. 

Must have the ability to detect emerging trends and make recommendations for change.

Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and ethics.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills required.

Ability to handle confidential information with exceptional judgment and discretion necessary.

Ability to combine vision with strong creativity and tactical execution.

Ability to coordinate across the agency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Webmaster 1

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in business administration, graphic design or a related field from an accredited college or university OR One year of experience in designing, editing, and maintaining a business website.

Webmaster 2

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, graphic design or a related field from an accredited college or university. OR Two years of experience in designing, editing, and maintaining a business website.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferences will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, also possess the following:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, graphic design or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of experience in web development and/or web design.
