Internship positions for the Georgia Museum of Art are now open for the summer. These internship positions provide students with valuable hands-on experience in a specific area of museum work. Under the guidance of museum staff, interns have an opportunity to assist with various aspects of projects and programs. Structured to provide professional and personal growth, they give students an understanding of the art museum as a place of research, teaching, collections management, and education and outreach. Students from all backgrounds and academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility and Further Information
- ask for approximately 8 to 12 hours per week (unless otherwise specified)
- are available to students who are at least rising seniors in college
- are unpaid, volunteer experiences, with some exceptions
- meet the Experiential Learning requirement at UGA (undergraduate internships only)
- are non-credit, but the student may obtain course credit through an internship course in their respective departments.
