Sign-Up Genius is a program that will allow us to maintain social distancing and max capacity within labs, studios, and classrooms. It can also help you keep track of who is using the labs in your area, and ensure that those using the space are trained on the equipment.

Sign-Up Genius is a program that will allow us to maintain social distancing and max capacity within labs, studios, and classrooms. It can also help you keep track of who is using the labs in your area, and ensure that those using the space are trained on the equipment.  

The main portal link to our Signup Genius is: www.signupgenius.com/org/ldsoa_signup . You can also provide your students with a link to a specific sign-up. Students will need to create an account with their UGA credentials and can then favorite the sign-ups they plan on using on their home page.  

Each area of emphasis also has a link - if your area has not created a sign up yet, your area does not have a link. You can provide that link to students, and they can access all the sign ups in your area. (When creating the sign up, you do have to assign which "tab" or area). 

If you would like to create your own sign-ups, please view the demo videos below. If you would prefer Karis to create sign-ups for lab(s)/ equipment in your area, please fill out this form for each sign-up you need created.  

**In order to create sign-ups, you will need to be added as an admin on Sign-up Genius. Please view this pdf to see if you are an admin—if not, email karism@uga.edu to be added. GA’s can also be added as admins.   

Overview of Sign-Up Genius:  

Create sign-ups for labs, studios, printers, kilns, presses, open access labs, etc  

Option to restrict sign-ups to class list, area of emphasis, etc.  

Specify length of sign up; 1 hour, 3 hours, etc 

Exclude times when class will be in session 

Allow max capacity for each sign up (i.e. max capacity 3; 3 students can sign up for 8AM-11:00 AM, 11:00 AM-1:00PM, etc)  

If printer, press, something only one student can use; only allow 1 student to sign up per time slot
