Gmund Color, acetate, translucent white plastic sheeting, linen thread, greyboard box; star accordion binding, screenprint. 20 x 15 x 4 cm. 36th Edition.    The Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture series has brought over 80 distinguished guests to the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia since 2002. Visiting Artists and Scholars spend three days on campus interacting with students and faculty, the culmination of which is a public lecture on the subject of the artist’s or scholar’s work.   Bios ETC Press is an international collaboration between two women: a German and an American. Daniela Deeg works as an independent printmaker and book artist, as well as an art director in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Cynthia Lollis is a professor of printmaking and book arts in Atlanta. Not only are the differences between their two languages addressed in all of their collaborative work, but also the differences and similarities of their cultural touchstones.  They often travel together while working on books, to gather images and absorb the character of countries other than their own: where they are outsiders together.   ETC Press’ work has been exhibited internationally, including two-person exhibitions at Galerie DRUCK & BUCH, Tübingen, GERMANY and the Kunstverein Ludwigsburg, GERMANY. Their book, Risk.Risiko, was selected by Jim Dine, juror of the 2011 North American Print Biennial for the Boston Printmakers Purchase Prize. It was placed in the Boston Public Library Special Collections. Collectors of their books and prints are museums, national libraries, academic libraries, and private libraries in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the USA. Among other publications, Lollis and Deeg’s collaborative works have been published in the following books, Masters: Book Arts: Major Works by Leading Artists (Lark Books, 2011), Booknesses: Artists’ Books from the Jack Ginsberg Collection (University of Johannesburg, 2017), Multiple – Vielseitig, (La Bibliothèque nationale du Luxembourg, 2020). In 2022, Lollis and Deeg presented the reflective paper, “ETC Press: Two Decades of Transatlantic Collaboration” at the IMPACT 12 Conference in Bristol, UK. ETC Press is an international collaboration between two women: a German and an American.
