Anna Johnson is a second-year MA student who studies Byzantine art. Her current research focuses on a sixth-century icon of Christ Pantocrator and an exploration of cults of religious images, especially early Christian, Greek, and Roman. She completed her BA in Art History and Ceramic Arts at Berry College in 2021, where she graduated summa cum laude, and also attended Savannah College of Art and Design and Penland School of Craft. Anna has experience in museum collections management, art preservation, and archival records through the Oak Hill Museum in Rome, GA. Her studio work, which focuses on war and protest art, was exhibited and won awards in Rome, GA and remains on display at Berry College. She hopes to teach both art history and ceramics upon her graduation.
