The annual Torrance Festival of Ideas is a free online educational and cultural event where renowned experts from across disciplines present their innovative ideas to the general public. UGA faculty member David Sutherland will be leading a session along with John Snyder, owner of Tweed Recording. Several other panels will be on topics relevant to your students and faculty partners: Bruce Adolphe's session on The Musical Imagination, Tasha Golden's talk on public health and the arts, Caroline Woolard on making a living in the cultural economy, Michael Strauebig discussion on NFTs, the metaverse, and Web3, and performer Stefania Ballone's conversation with psychologist Gerald Cupchik's on dance and the formation of self.
