Annika is a designer, thinker, tinkerer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience in the graphic design industry. She received her MFA in Communication Design from the Braunschweig University of Art in Germany. Annika moved to the United States in 1998 to further her career in branding and design, and has worked for large brand consultancies in New York City as well as smaller marketing communications firms and agencies in both the U.S. and Germany. She is the co-founder of VoxPop LLC, a Denver, CO based startup that produces mobile voice training applications.

Before accepting the appointment to the Lamar Dodd School of Art Annika taught branding and graphic design at The Miami Ad School @ Portfolio Center, The Creative Circus, and at The Ernest G.Welch School of Art & Design, Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has been a Professor of Graphic Design at the Savannah College of Art & Design, Savannah campus.

Annika’s specialties include brand strategy, visual identity systems and logo design, website and mobile app design, typography, print collateral and information graphics.

Annika is also a certified yoga and meditation instructor at the 500-hour level. She is neurodivergent and identifies as non-binary; her preferred pronouns are she/her and they/their.
