Artists 4 Democracy: Scott Benzel on Media Literacy

Add to Calendar 2020-10-06 20:00:00 2020-10-06 21:30:00 Artists 4 Democracy: Scott Benzel on Media Literacy The Dodd Galleries has partnered with Artists 4 Democracy to bring a series of lectures in which artists talk about their work and why they vote. The virtual lectures will start on September 16 and, after, will be held every Tuesday at 8pm up until the election.  Read more about Artists 4 Democracy: https://www.artists4democracy.com/ Scott Benzel, born 1968 in Scottsdale, AZ, lives and works in Los Angeles. Benzel’s work has been shown or performed at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum Of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, LA><ART, Los Angeles,  The MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, The Palm Springs Art Museum, and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and was featured in Made in LA 2012, the first Los Angeles Biennial, at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. Benzel has curated shows at the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture (Schindler House), Los Angeles and the Welcome Inn, Eagle Rock, CA, as part of Pacific Standard Time organized by the Getty Museum, among others.
