PUBLIC SERVICE
Activities include chair or membership on awards committees for the College Art Association and a guest of the Midwest Society for Art History for the drafting of policy statements governing university art museums for the Association of Art Museum Directors. Member of accreditation committees for the American Association of Museums.
Served as moderator, presenter, and panelists at national conferences including the topic of censorship in politics and art for People for the American Way and other education oriented groups. Member of a delegation of 30 fine arts deans and museum directors from the United States to celebrate the reopening of art schools in China after having been closed for 30 years by Chairman Mao.
