Professor Imi Hwangbo’s works on paper are on view in the exhibition “Cut & Paste: Works of Paper” at the Jepson Center of the Telfair Museums in Savannah through January 2021. This exhibition focuses on the ways in which contemporary artists manipulate paper to create remarkable drawn, sculptural, assembled, woven, or folded works of art. Mask On, Athens

The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce announces Mask On, Athens!, an art competition benefitting the new Athens Creatives Directory. Voted on by the community, the winner will get his or her artwork printed on fabric which will then be sewn into face masks. The Lamar Dodd School of Art is pleased to officially announce that Dr. Isabelle Wallace and Professor Michael Marshall have been named interim co-directors of the Lamar Dodd School of Art. Recently, the Solidarity and Justice Task Force at the School of Art prompted a student-led Town Hall meeting to discuss how the School of Art can better address racism in the school and community, as well as create a better environment for students of color (especially Black students) going forward. Dodd Galleries continues their online summer programming with Makeover Kingdom an exhibition by MFA alumna Cobra McVey The works in Makeover Kingdom, built out of various plastics and throw-away things, are made distinct by McVey’s humorous and outlandish accoutrements.
