C-U-B-E is pleased to feature visual outcomes of an interdisciplinary workshop, unsolved: math+de-sign, a pilot program designed for math, art, and design research, with the goal of making a product to be used in math outreach contexts.

BFA 2 Exhibition: Fabric Design, Sculpture, Art X, Jewelry + Metals, Scientific Illustration

Graduating BFA students in Fabric Design, Sculpture, Art X, Jewelry + Metals, Scientific Illustration will display the work from their capstone course in Dodd Gallery spaces. The work is on view from Friday, April 14 through Friday April 21. An opening reception will take place on Friday evening April 14 from 6 - 8 pm.

"Off the Wall" Exhibition by Foundations Students on View

Off the Wall is a group exhibition by thirty first-yaer art students in Foundations/Studio Core Color and Composition classes taught by Professor Imi Hwangbo. Working in small collaborative groups, students created large scale drawings in black masking tape on the walls and floor of the Foundation​s Project Space on the first floor north area of the main Dodd building. The show will be on view from March 2–14, 2017.  The show open to the public.

2017 Master of Fine Arts Degree Candidates Exhibition

The 2017 Master of Fine Arts Degree Candidates exhibition will be on view at the Georgia Museum of Art from April 8 through May 14. This annual show of work by School of Art graduating master of fine arts students includes Thomas Bosse, Julia Megan Burchett, Ellie Dent, Jamie Diaz, Arron Foster, Meirav Goldhour, Zachary Harris, Ariel Lockshaw, Shuk Han Lui, Jonathan Nowell, Reid Brechner, Amanda Scheutzow, Stephanie Sutton, and Dan Vu.

Clues & Scientific Method Exhibition Reception

The Lamar Dodd School of Art is pleased to present Clues & Scientific Method, a group exhibition at Marcia Wood Gallery in Atlanta featuring Dodd MFA candidates working across a variety of media. Editor and artistic director of ART PAPERS Victoria Camblin, selected the artists for their research-based method of production and evidentiary qualities or approaches. “While visiting the graduate studios in Athens I noticed an investigative or diagnostic impulse in work being made in all disciplines,” says Camblin.
