Ivy Kolkana is a second-year MA candidate in art history, having received her BFA in Visual Arts with a concentration in art history from Kennesaw State University. Her current research aims to illuminate the contributions of female artists in 18th-century and 19th-century European art, examining how their work engaged with themes of social identity, performance, and artistic innovation. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Association of Graduate Art Students, 2025-2026. She is also the contemporary curatorial intern at the Georgia Museum of Art and will receive a museum studies certificate upon graduation. For her capstone, she will partner with the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh to create a virtual exhibition and catalogue centered on female portraiture in 18th-century France.
