Undergraduate Admissions
Students interested in attending the Lamar Dodd School of Art must first apply to the University of Georgia via the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Once students are accepted to UGA, they can meet with an Art Advisor during Orientation.
If you are currently enrolled at UGA and wish to change your major to art, contact the Art Advising Office to schedule an appointment.
Quick Links For Undergraduate Admissions
You do not need a portfolio to start classes as an Art student at the University of Georgia. However, certain majors offered at the Lamar Dodd School of Art are “high demand,” meaning students must complete admission requirements (a portfolio review, progression preview, or other application process) and applicants are not guaranteed acceptance to these majors.
