MFA Candidate AC Carter—who also performs as Lambda Celsius—was recently awarded an Athens Area Arts Council grant. AC is an artist, musician and festival organizer and will apply the grant towards supporting Ad•Verse Fest, a two-day festival showcasing solo and duo performers who blur the lines between the musical, visual and performative arts.

The Athens Area Arts Council is a non-profit arts organization whose goal is to integrate the vast cultural resources of Athens into the fabric of the educational system and economy, as well as the culture of the Athens community. The AAAC quarterly grant is designed to help support individuals, organizations and events that connect the arts to the larger community in the areas of art, music, dance, theater and literature.

Ad•Verse will be held March 1 – 2 at Flicker, Caledonia and Go Bar. The schedule, which includes over 40 performers, can be found at adversefest.space.
