Three new student exhibitions explore the ins and outs of the body and the home

Meat, bubble gum, and endoscopy— MFA students delve into visceral and sticky subjects in a new round of exhibitions at the Dodd Galleries: Meat-a-physics, Desirable, and Endoscope. Join us this Thursday October 10 at 270 River Road from 6 - 8 pm to celebrate three new shows parsing the ins and outs of the body and the home. Compete in the 4’33” Contest, a research competition in the arts during the UGA Spotlight on the Arts Festival

An homage to John Cage's landmark composition of the same name, the 4 Minutes, 33 Seconds Contest highlights University of Georgia student research in the arts. The event offers an opportunity for students to win prizes and to share their creative inquiry with peers, faculty, administrators and alumni throughout the university community.

For the second year in a row, MFA students at the Lamar Dodd School of Art are participating in Atlanta Art Week. This year’s exhibition HOMEWORK is a collaboration with Georgia State University's Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design that features 19 graduate students enrolled in two of Georgia's anchor art university programs.
