Assistant Interior Designer (Full-Time) | Sarah Bartholomew

The Assistant Designer’s primary role at Sarah Bartholomew is to support the Design Team including the Principal and Designer(s) in all areas of interior design from concept through procurement and installation.

RESPONSIBILITES include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing tear sheets, pricing and specification information for client presentations
• Preparing design drawings for client presentations (furniture plans and elevations)
• Assist in maintaining Materials Library
• Developing finish, fixtures, equipment, hardware and plumbing schedules
• Creating detailed FF&E Specifications and Work Orders
• Working alongside the Operations Manager to assist with Tracking and Reconciling orders
• Coordinate CFA approvals with Project Manager(s) and vendors
• Picking up and dropping off materials and drawings to clients and vendors
• Assist in deliveries to client residences and installations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with Studio Designer preferred
• Strong graphic presentation skills
• Interest in development and growth in responsibility
• Candidate should be curious, engaged, highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to resolve issues in a professional manner that result in successful vendor relationships and client satisfaction
• Communicate professionally and directly with internal team members, vendors and clients
• Must be proactive and have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be team player and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively and strategically
• Dedication to quality and attention to detail in all presentations and client interaction
