The program of study leading to the degree Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in Animation is designed to develop a strong foundation in art history and creative art practice with a focus on the tools and techniques of animation. The degree provides the development of skills for application in gallery exhibitions as well as professional applications in animation graphics for entertainment and business. Students complete a capstone project demonstrating their achievement in developing mature and cohesive work.
Art majors enter the profession to pursue both fine art practice and applied art in business as well as in education and graduate study. Students are prepared for work in technical as well as creative areas of art and design. Job opportunities range from careers in the film and motion picture industry to software publishing and advertising.
