Biography
Saral Surakul, Associate Professor of Interior Design, received a B.Arch from King Mongkhut Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang in Thailand, and an M.A. in Interior Design from Iowa State University. He taught at Drake University, Indiana State University, and Raffles Design Institute before coming to UGA. His research focus is on the applications of computer graphics and time-based media in art and architectural visualization. He is fascinated by the concept that the three-dimensional space existing on the computer can be brought out into the real world. His work is the link between the world of light and dark, beauty and horror, imagination and reality. Surakul exhibits in competitions and selected shows nationally and internationally.
