Renato Ferreira earned his BFA in Photography and his BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia in 2015. Upon graduating, Renato has taught K-5th grade visual arts at Fowler Drive Elementry School, 6th-12th grade visual arts at Rainey McCullers School of the Arts, and is now department head for the visual arts and design faculty at the School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School. Renato is also currently working on his EdD in Curriculum and Instruction through Piedmont University; projected to be completed in the summer of 2023. As a teaching artist, Renato continues to display his works in various exhibitions including the Columbus Museum of Art, Atlanta High Museum of Art, and the Athens Lyndon House annual juried exhibition, where he was once awarded the L. David Dwinell Photography Award.
