Meaza Nigatu
Nigatu uses personal experiences from her time living in both Africa and North America to create beautiful 3–dimensional paintings. These constructions express unity through shapes, colors, and patterns influenced by different African cultures. Nigatu believes her purpose in life is to use her art as an avenue to reach out and inspire people, and she is particularly focused in motivating Africans to work collectively and build a better life for future generations. Nigatu lives and works in Atlanta, and she has had her work exhibited in many places including the Georgia Theatre Gallery, the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation and the Lyndon House Art Center.
