The Dodd Galleries present Quantum Castle where fantastical slick ceramic characters serve as playful narrators in a layered, colorful world of texture, light, and sound. There exists a realm beyond the visible—always present, ever shifting. Deep within this imaginal space lies the Quantum Castle where visitors learn of the Time Guardian’s quest and begin a whimsical journey. Made interactive through games, riddles, and activities, artworks engage participants with cross-disciplinary ideas from quantum mechanics, philosophy, world spiritualities, and depth psychology. Inside Quantum Castle each artwork becomes an exploratory site where visitors become participants in the experience rather than observers. Phoebe-Agnès Mills: Ekstasis

The Dodd Galleries presents a series of new paintings by MFA candidate Phoebe-Agnès Mills, titled Ekstasis. Influenced by accounts of mystical visions and modernist theories of profane illumination, these works consider how the spiritual might be sensed within the material world. Rather than seeking revelation through apparition or fantasy, they invite a slowed, temporal encounter in which the viewer becomes aware of their own position in the membrane between presence and absence, vitality and decay. Whether through science fiction, fantasy, alternate histories, or wild conjectures, speculative fiction claims imagination as a critical practice, accessing an underrated possibility of art. The Dodd Galleries present Slowing Down, a two-person exhibition of new work by MFA candidates Alexandra Stover and Jordan Winiski. Slowing Down champions the ways their work communicates both with each other in space, and individually as art practices whose material forms encourage slow looking and introspection in curious audiences. Gabrielle Gagné: The Grid Made Human

The Dodd Galleries present The Grid Made Human, a new site-specific installation by Gabrielle Gagné in the Bridge Gallery comprising natural and manmade fibers that forms not only a literal fabric, but a social one as well. Inspired by nature and community, Gagné’s practice uses foraged and gleaned fibers including evasive species, agricultural compost and trash to explore the emotional relationship between humans and their lived environment. Gagné says that “materials act as a record of human activity,” and their anthropological interest in materials stems from the stories and relationships they can epigenetically hold.
