The full-time Studio Manager at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens assists in planning, developing and evaluating programs for the Athens-Clarke County community. This position oversees daily program activities, prepares materials and assures programs are maintained and staffed at an appropriate level. The position also assists with front desk duties including answering telephones, program registration, handling paperwork and directing the public as needed.  

Work Schedule

Tuesday & Thursday 12 – 8pm, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9 – 5 

Compensation

$38,760.00 annually

Essential Duties + Responsibilities

Assists with the planning, developing and evaluating of programs and special events for all age groups in the community.  

This position would be the glue between the programs in exhibition/education areas and the public of ACC in that they would assist the department with an outreach calendar, graphic design and all promotion.

Recommends programming to meet community needs.

Maintains and processes records, and updates reports, flyers, publications and promotional materials for programs and the facility.

Instructs classes and/or conducts programs where necessary.

Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment and requisitions supplies for activities and events.

Assists with the coordination of volunteer needs, recruitment, training and recognition at assigned facility.

Prepares facility for programs and special events. Inspects and monitors facility buildings and grounds, and performs routine building maintenance as needed.

Would assist all the staff in the large public events and would contribute to the management of the physical plant as needed.

Assists with the management of daily operations of the facility and short and long-range program planning.

Would manage all social media, e-newsletters, memberships. Would be at the front desk as needed as well as fill in for full time staff during lunch hour.

Performs research for special projects, staff, and the general public.

Researches the needs for outreach and public relations.

Assists with website updates as needed. Transports participants to and from activities.

Assists with the enforcement of facility rules and regulations.

Serves as community resource person in programming and special events.
