Internship Opportunity | The Georgia Review
Applications for The Georgia Review’s publishing internship are now open! (Due March 15)
The Georgia Review’s undergraduate internship is a year-long experiential learning program intended to familiarize students with all stages of literary journal publishing. Through a combination of hands-on projects, group sessions with full-time staff, and extended residencies in Georgia Review departments, interns will gain experience with editorial work, copyediting, design, production, marketing, and community outreach. As demonstrated by a strong record of previous interns’ successful placement in publishing jobs and graduate programs, the internship program effectively balances learning and professionalization.
The position entails:
-A one hour weekly class meeting
-10 hours of additional work each week
-Commitment to participate in the internship Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
Prior experience with editorial work, marketing, design, or copyediting is a plus but not required. We prefer students who have taken a number of literature and writing courses, as this internship involves reading and evaluating poetry and prose submissions. Interns are eligible for Experiential Learning credit.
To apply, please send a CV and a 1-page max cover letter expressing why this internship would be beneficial to you to Amy Bonnaffons amy.bonnaffons25@uga.edu, by March 15. Any questions should also be sent to her. Candidates will be contacted about interviewing by April 1.
