Distribution Assistant | The Red & Black

The Red & Black is looking to hire a student for the Distribution Assistant role. The assistant is responsible for the delivery of The Red & Black Publishing print products to locations around the city of Athens and UGA campus. The distribution process includes picking up, tallying and logging the previous week’s issue and maintaining a log of distribution and pickup for our audit. This position may require completing small miscellaneous jobs around the office as well: sort publication stacks, change lightbulbs and minor office maintenance. 

Time

This position is approximately 4-5 hours a week on weeks where we need distribution; for print edition distribution, it takes place on Thursdays from 6 AM to 10 AM 1-3 times a month. In addition, special publication distribution takes place 1-2 times a month. 

Requirements

• The ability to lift at least 20 pounds

• Must have a car

Compensation

$100/week for the weeks you are distributing
