Advertising Internships | The Red & Black

The Red & Black is looking to hire 3 advertising interns for a variety of roles including outside sales, clerical, and general advertising. The details of the available positions are below:  

Advertising – Outside Sales

• 8-10 hours per week, commission eligible
• Give regular and complete service to all active accounts and show an increase in new prospects outside of Athens
• Conduct prospecting in Watkinsville area

Advertising – General 

• 8-10 hours per week, commission eligible
• Facilitate advertising in one to two territories in the Athens area, and through building client relationships, will sell ads to hit sales goals. Students will be taught the ins and outs of print and digital advertising and marketing, getting the chance to connect with the surrounding Athens and UGA communities. 

Advertising – Clerical

• 8-10 hours per week, unpaid, internship credit
• Assist account executives with developing lists of prospective clients
• Tracking metrics for ads and other measures of engagement.
• Checking ads for appropriate specs
