Join us for our Art History Faculty Lecture Series. Associate Professor Mark Abbe presents “Aphrodite in Roman Arabia: The Petra Aphrodite-al’Uzza Conservation Collaborative” on April 1st. This lecture will take place at the Lamar Dodd School of Art in room N100 at 5:30 pm.
Speaker Bio
Mark Abbe is an associate professor of art history at the Lamar Dodd School of Art. He received his PhD in Greek and Roman Art and Archaeology at New York University. Abbe teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on ancient Mediterranean art, architecture, and visual history. He has been involved in archaeological fieldwork in the Mediterranean and has participated in fellowships in institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and more.
