It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the UGA Cortona Mostra Ceremony and Reunion event scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, 2026.
According to a National Weather Service report, a major winter storm is expected to affect north and central Georgia this weekend. A Winter Storm Watch is currently in effect from 1:00 am on Saturday, January 24th through 10:00 am on Monday, January 26th. With the potential for freezing rain and ice to create hazardous travel conditions, and the predicted disruption of air travel along the entire Eastern Seaboard, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Reunion in order to encourage our staff, alumni, friends, and supporters to stay home and safe. We know this is sad news for many of you, especially because it will not be possible to re-schedule the event.
For more information on the Dodd Galleries and exhibition program, contact Rachel Waldrop, Director and Curator, Dodd Galleries and Atheneum at rachel.waldrop@uga.edu. The Dodd Galleries are open Mon-Fri in the main Lamar Dodd School of Art building from 9am-4:30pm. The Lamar Dodd School of Art is closed on weekends, University holidays, and home game days.
La Mostra is supported by UGA’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and The Lamar Dodd School of Art. For support opportunities, contact Grace Mercer, Development Associate grace.mercer@uga.edu.
