Add to Calendar 2022-09-30 12:40:00 2022-09-30 14:00:00 Dr. Katie Geha: Alternative Curatorial Practices Lamar Dodd School of Art Curator of Galleries Dr. Katie Geha will present a free lecture open to the public titled “Alternative Curatorial Practices” as part of the University of Georgia Institute for Women's Studies Friday Speaker Series this fall.   Speaker bio Dr. Katie Geha is a writer, curator, and art historian. She is Director of the Galleries in the Lamar Dodd School of Art and regularly teaches modern and contemporary art history seminars on artists' writing. She received her PhD from the University of Texas, Austin and her MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Geha's research is focused on American art from the 1960s to the present. She examines technology, science, mysticism, gender, and poetics as principles within the art of this period.
