Scientific Illustration: Spring BFA 2025 Exit Show
May 1-9, 2025
Suite Gallery
The Spring 2025 BFA Scientific Illustration Exit Show celebrates the achievements of graduating students from the Lamar Dodd School of Art’s Scientific Illustration program. Each Capstone project investigates the layered relationship between science and storytelling, drawing on the student’s academic foundation in both art and science to translate intricate scientific subjects into compelling visual narratives.
Designed to function as both educational tools and works of art, these projects demonstrate the power of illustration to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and understanding. The exhibition features a diverse range of media—from traditional drawing and digital illustration to mixed media and animation—highlighting the interdisciplinary rigor and creative exploration fostered throughout the program.
For these emerging illustrators, this exhibition represents the culmination of their academic journey and the beginning of these artists’ professional contributions to the field of scientific communication.
