Dr. Noemi Quagliati of Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich joins us as a UGA Franklin-LMU faculty research exchange fellow. The Interdisciplinary Modernisms Workshop (UGA ModSquad) is delighted to host a presentation and discussion of the research behind her forthcoming book. Militarized Visualities investigates photographic modes of vision in the First World War that illuminate how the military conflict influenced well-established canons of imagining, representing, and perceiving the landscape in Germany.
All are welcome to this roundtable event and discussion. An optional reading will be pre-circulated through the ModSquad listserv. To join the listserv, or to present your research at a future workshop, contact co-directors: Nell Andrew (Art History) | Rielle Navitski (Film, LACSI) | Susan Rosenbaum (English)
The Interdisciplinary Modernisms Workshop is a Faculty Research Cluster sponsored by the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts
