Throughout the month of February, the C-U-B-E gallery at the Lamar Dodd School of Art has turned into an experimental lab cultivating mushrooms in an eco-friendly way. Please come by room N231 in the school’s main building and see how they grow at the C-U-B-E!
Mycophilia is a participatory installation by Graphic Design and Fabric Design Senior Lecturer Erin Moore that invites the audience to take part in mushroom cultivation by recycling paper waste. Consisting of a dozen buckets hosting mycelia and recycled wet paper, this study will allow viewers to observe the life cycle of this sustainable food source from start to finish and presents a sustainable solution for the end-of-life stage of paper products.
