Join young alum and surface textile designer Ellery Payne in a career workshop for students exploring professional pathways through art. Payne studied both fabric design and graphic design at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, graduating in May 2023. Refreshments will be provided.
About the speaker
Ellery Payne is a surface textile designer working at Teague, specializing in airline interiors and textiles currently based in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from the University of Georgia with her BFA in Art in May of 2023. She received The Director’s Award from the University of Georgia, was a finalist in the 4 ’33 Spotlight on the Arts Research Competition, and was awarded the Nancy Lukasiewicz Award for Excellence in Fine Crafts at the 48th Juried Exhibition at the Lyndon House Arts Center. Her work focuses on balancing function, strategy, and aesthetics, to create impactful design solutions.
